Daniel Arbess is an American lawyer and businessman. He is the founder of investment firms Xerion Capital Partners and Xerion Investments1. He has also co-founded Stratton Investments, Taiga Capital Partners, and Triton Partners.
Arbess has an extensive background in law and business. He was born on January 23, 1961, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, and is a United States citizen. He received a JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and an LLM from Harvard Law School.
Arbess joined the international law firm White & Case in 1987 and became the youngest partner in the history of White & Case at the age of 311. He advised the Czechoslovak (later Czech) government on its economic transition, primarily involving privatization policy and transactions1. Arbess has been a principal investor since 1995, first pursuing restructuring-oriented private transactions in Europe. He is currently a partner at Perella Weinberg Partners and portfolio manager of the PWP Xerion Funds2
