Bonnie Hagen is the Chief Operating Officer of Bright Energy Services, an energy engineering and construction firm that helps building owners and managers of large commercial, industrial, institutional, and multi-family buildings save energy, save money, and comply with energy codes. Whether the project involves the installation of LED lighting, electric vehicle charging stations, HVAC, pipe insulation, steam traps, solar, building controls, or other energy efficiency measures, the projects are developed and installed so that they will result in significant greenhouse gas and operating expense reductions, attractive ROIs, and the most positive impacts on human health.

Bonnie earned a BA in Economics from CUNY Brooklyn College and an MBA from Hofstra University. She is a BPI Certified Building Analyst, a LEED Accredited Professional, specializing in Building Operations & Maintenance, and also serves as a subject matter expert for LEED test development.

Bonnie is a Certified Sustainability Manager, a WELL Accredited Professional, and is on the WELL Faculty. Bonnie currently serves on the City of White Plains’ Conservation Board and served on the City’s Sustainability Committee. Bonnie is a Board Member of UJA-Federation of New York Westchester Business and Professional Division, Westchester Jewish Council where she co-chairs the Greening Committee, and Congregation Kol Ami where she is also the Chair of the Green Team. She has appeared in hundreds of publications, speaking engagements, TV & radio shows and has been the recipient of numerous industry awards. Bonnie lives in White Plains with her husband, Karl, and their children, Victoria and Daniel.
