123organize had humble beginnings in 2005. A friend asked Marla to help transition her full floor apartment spread into a duplex. After successfully tackling that challenge, the word got out and friends and family asked Marla to help organize their homes/moves. Talent and passion merged and 123organize was born. Marla Alt, CEO and founder, has become known as “The Moving Whisperer.”
A former teacher for 30+ years, Marla’s positive spirit and soothing demeanor have proved invaluable throughout the years, especially during the trying times of the pandemic. Marla her husband, Jeff, are now empty nesters as their five children have left the nest. They enjoy spending time with their children, and traveling to visit their grandchildren. Marla’s favorite hobby is continuing the Alt family tradition of baking, and she can frequently be found treating clients to her homemade baked goods. She has been a former board member of her synagogue, and has held various roles with Park Avenue Synagogue.
A Certified Professional Organizer ®, with a degree in Business and International Marketing from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Marla has gone on to join NAPO, NAPO Golden Circle, NASMM, The Female Founder Collective, HSE, and Collaberex. Through NASMM, Marla has credits in: Senior Move Management Safety Assessment, Moving Industry 101, Ethics and Accountability Assessment, and Contracts & Liability. Through NAPO, Marla belongs to both the “Moving & Relocation” and “Working with Seniors” special interest groups.
She is happiest at the completion of a project when the 123organize team has gone above and beyond a client’s expectations… That’s the 123 standard that we live by!
