Yaniv Blumenfeld is the Founder and CEO of Glacier Global Partners, a diversified real estate investment firm established in 2009. The company operates across three key business lines: commercial real estate lending, real estate private equity, and utility-scale renewable energy development.
With over 30 years of experience in the real estate sector, Yaniv directs Glacier Global Partners’ strategic vision, overseeing investments and daily operations. During his 15 years at Glacier, he has built a robust equity investment portfolio, expanded the lending business, and spearheaded the firm’s renewable energy ventures. Before founding Glacier, Yaniv spent 15 years in real estate investment banking with top Wall Street firms, where he was instrumental in underwriting, structuring, securitizing, and syndicating over $20 billion in commercial real estate loans and equity transactions.
Prior to Glacier, Yaniv served as Managing Director at Bear Stearns / JP Morgan, where he successfully structured and closed more than $2 billion in real estate debt and equity transactions for institutional clients. Before that, he was Managing Director and Head of the CMBS Capital Markets Group for North America at EuroHypo AG. There, he established the bank’s large loan CMBS group, managed the structuring, pricing, securitization, and syndication functions, and served on the investment committee. He also implemented risk-control measures, standardized underwriting and pricing models, and structured over $4 billion in real estate loans.
Yaniv’s earlier roles included Senior Vice President positions at Lehman Brothers, PaineWebber/UBS, and Daiwa Securities. He began his career as a real estate consultant at Ernst & Young Kenneth Leventhal, advising real estate owners, operators, and investment banks.
An active member of the CRE Finance Council, Yaniv has also been a guest lecturer at Columbia University, a speaker at industry conferences, and an author of industry articles, including a piece on Urban Time Sharing. Yaniv is a past honoree of the YJP NYC Real Estate Entrepreneur & Achievement Award.
Yaniv is a board member of YPO and serves on the boards of the Cornell University Pillsbury Institute, SG Blocks, SG Devco, Nuchas, and several non-profit organizations, including ArtsWestchester and the White Plains BID. He is also actively involved with philanthropic organizations such as AIPAC and White Plains Hospital.
Yaniv holds a BS degree in Real Estate Finance from the Cornell University School of Hotel Administration.
